Angela Jey is a Hong Kong-based online artisan accessory brand. We appreciate all beautifully crafted accessories, and we have a fondness for pashmina from Kashmir and one-of-a-kind unique accessories from around the world. All of our items are ethically made by artisans with pride in their workshops.
Travelling and the people we met along the way have been our source of inspiration: from Rio Carnival to Jaipur Holi, Chelsea Flower Show to Faberge Museum. Our travels brought us to many artisan workshops where the artisans handcraft every piece with love and the greatest attention to detail, we were and still are, inspired by the extraordinary artisans we encountered. We felt compelled to engage these artisans and create quality, fun, colourful and bohemian chic accessories that brighten your wardrobe and your mood while giving back to the society through education of underprivileged children – and Angela Jey was born.
We work with natural materials as we believe in reviving the appreciation of slow living and nature through using less chemical and less synthetic materials. Each piece of craft made is a testimony of the artisans’ expertise and skills, a way to improve livelihood, an artistic expression of emotions, and a devotion to preserving traditional art. At Angela Jey, our motto is “Reviving handicrafts, sustaining Earth’s resources, empowering artisans and supporting underprivileged children.”

Angela Jey products are sustainably sourced and ethically made.
With an aim to provide a platform for our artisans to display their creativity and skills, we collaborate with small to medium size workshops exclusively and ensure the artisans are fairly paid for their expertise and celebrated for their creativity. We spent years searching for the best independent artisans in different cities and took the time to understand each artisan’s expertise and passion.
Planet, people and animals come before profit, and we are dedicated to sustainably and ethically sourced materials. Angela Jey scarves are made with natural yarns: premium quality cotton, fine wool and luxurious pashminas cashmere. The pashminas are made from Kashmiri Changthangi goat at the high plateaus of the Himalayas, where the goats roam free. We work with small suppliers who are committed to providing the goats with a cruelty-free life, treating them with respect and collecting the cashmere wool through hand-combing only at the right time of the year. The dyes, where possible, are always azo-free or plant-based.
Sustainably sourced material and ethical labour often come at a premium, yet as the stewards of the Earth, we are proud to bring back the appreciation of nature’s finest and assume our responsibility towards the environment and people empowerment seriously.

By nature, being ethical can be much costlier than taking the easy route and purchasing from the refiner or dealer with low prices and shady sourcing. Our cashmere comes from Kashmir, the high plateaus of the Himalayas where these goats dwell. We endeavour to maintain our quality keeping in mind the planet.

We have been closely connected with artisans and craft communities for many years, giving us a deeper appreciation of the skills, traditions and techniques behind handcrafted textiles. Our content combines this first-hand connection with careful research to provide clear, useful and trustworthy information.
