Pashmina, which is Himalayan in origin, is the finest and oldest Cashmere. It's an indestructible cashmere of the Changra Goats stamped by the ancient nomadic tribes, then hand-made in Kashmir. It has a truly remarkable amount of warmth, softness, lightness, and fineness which no other wool can equal.
We have here a special series of samples of absolutely reversible embroidered pashminas. For in the course of centuries, the land of Kashmir has been the unrivaled land in the world to excel in such a clever degree of perfection: bequeathed from imperial Mughal civilization, far more than an apodictic craft! Each item of design that we make is homespun alone, entirely individual, and restores its splendor to the idea of opulence and ease.
Due to its highest quality and aristocratic design sentiments, The Kashmiri embroidered pashmina shawls have been famous since the earliest times. The beautiful valleys of the state (Kashmir) have given birth to one-of-a-kind designed masterpieces in the shape of richly decorated shawls that are famous all over the world. But may be a little surprising to you would be the fact that there is no such mention of these shawls in the 18th century, particularly in international trade.
To obtain these beautiful embroidery patterns, first of all, the selected motif is printed on the Pashmina Shawl. And then the remaining part is done by hand. Then after the artists use the block-print method where the design is carved in a wooden pad, that is subsequently smeared with the paint (a paste made by dissolving the powder in water) and is applied manually on the shawl. It is later washed to eliminate any scent remaining on the pre-printed pattern.
Embroiderers in the valley make use of different forms of techniques like Soznikar and Kanikar. The best piece of local yarn that is used to weave these shawls is obtained from the mulberry trees cultivated in the Kashmir Valley. All designs of the Kashmiri embroidered pashmina shawl are different in structure. Designers utilize the color of cotton or silk embroidery yarn to create the luxury material, and then the Pashmina is entrusted to the embroidery.
To produce such best pieces, the designers perform their embroidery at home working for hours a day. Most of the products we deal with are mostly based in Srinagar or the various lesser-popular villages around. The brilliant works of these magical artists produce the splurging embroidered pashmina shawls.
